DeWitt Police Community Night Out is designed to: (1) Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; (2) Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime program efforts; (3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and (4) Send the message to criminals that DeWitt neighborhoods are on watch for suspicious or illegal activity.
The DeWitt Police Department will again promote DEWITT POLICE COMMUNITY NIGHT OUT by hosting a large block party at Lincoln Park (downtown) on Tuesday, August 4,2026 from 6-8pm.The Block Party events will include Bounce house, games, Community Band, Face Painter, Miller's Petting Zoo, ISP will be bringing the seatbelt convincer, Displays of Law Enforcement Vehicles FREE Food, and many other great activities. This is also a chance to meet and talk with local law enforcement officers and officials and other great resources.
Please come out to our DeWitt Police Community Night Out Block Party for an exciting evening. Together through police-community partnership, we can deter criminals. All residents whether attending the block party or not, are encouraged to turn their porch lights on and get better acquainted with their neighbors and show neighborhood unity against crime.
