A movie screening of “The Letter: A Message for our Earth,” will be held at DeWitt Opera House Theatre in DeWitt on Sunday, September 10 at 1 p.m. The screening is free and open to the public. No registration required.
This movie centers around the Laudato Si’ movement, following the stories of six environmental activists from around the world and how they are brought together by the Pope’s effort to bring environmentalism to the church. The exclusive dialogue with the Pope included in the film offers a revealing insight into the personal history of Pope.
The film screening is sponsored by Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat, Congregation of the Humility of Mary, Diocese of Davenport, Franciscan Peace Center, Interfaith Power and Light, Quad Cities Interfaith, Sisters of St. Francis, and Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Quad Cities.
