Eastern Iowa Community Colleges’ Office of Continuing Education is excited to kick off its 2022-2023 ‘Lifelong Learning Series’ with Therapy Dog Orientation, on Thursday, Sept. 29 from 6 – 7:30 p.m.
Think you and your dog would make a good therapy team? Our 90-minute class will provide you with all of the information you need to know to get your dog certified to do therapy work in hospitals, schools, libraries, and nursing homes. We’ll also introduce you to organizations that certify therapy dogs and general training guidelines.
Class will be held at Scott Community College, 500 Belmont Rd. in Bettendorf. We ask that participants leave their furry friends at home, but please remember to bring a notebook.
Therapy Dog Orientation is a part of our ‘Lifelong Learning Series,’ which includes a selection of free classes, open to the public and regardless of your academic background or degrees held. As THE Community’s College, we try to incorporate the best of what enrichment has to offer with a mix of courses, workshops, seminars, and lectures for our communities.
Register online today. Seats are limited, so act fast to claim your spot! Questions? Call us toll-free 1-888-336-3907 or email eiccinfo@eicc.edu.
