The Camanche-DeWitt Coalition is proud to bring in Ben Cort from Smart Approaches to Marijuana. Living in Colorado, Ben Cort has been part of the recovery community in almost every way imaginable. Ben has a deep understanding of the marijuana issue and a personal motivation to see the harmful effects of drug and alcohol abuse minimized. Ben's first book, Weed INC., was published in September 2017 and he is currently focusing on marijuana education and consulting inside the substance use disorder treatment field. At the September 26 town hall, Ben will: • Explain the difference between today's corporately-produced marijuana and what was grown naturally and consumed in the past • Identify current forms of THC consumption including edibles, vaporizers, & concentrates • Clarify the science of today's marijuana and the harms associated with • Share what is happening in Colorado due to marijuana legalization
