Join us on Friday, Oct. 4, 2019 for our annual Rising Up Against Sexual Abuse luncheon at the Quad-Cities Waterfront Convention Center. Doors open at 11 a.m. with the raffle winner announcement and program beginning at noon. This year’s speaker is Sherrard, IL native, Karli Johnson. Karli has been a successful leader in violence prevention for more than seven year. She travels the country educating children, teens and adults on the importance of violence awareness and prevention. As a survivor of sexual assault, dating violence, and other forms of trauma, Karli has lived experiences resonate with children, teens and adults throughout the country.
Family Resources offers comprehensive services to survivors of abuse in eastern Iowa and western Illinois through crisis response, sheltering, counseling, medical advocacy, and other support. Last year our survivor services staff and volunteers answered 2,701 crisis calls and served 1,163 individuals and their families.
