WORK LOCATION: Hiring for all areas of Eastern Iowa Community College, with a high demand to work at Muscatine and Davenport (Urban campus) area, daytime hours, Part-Time.

Required Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a Registered Nurse with an active Iowa RN license to teach CNA classes and clinical
Must have 2 years’ experience as a registered nurse (preferably in long term care).
Must have the ability to work with a diverse student population.
Excellent communication skills along with a high level of initiative and practical judgement is highly preferred.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for providing instruction within the CNA program. Teach approved curriculum and course work.
Physical Demands
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • This position generally operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Requires the ability to sit or stand in a classroom during extended instructional periods.
  • May require pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance.
  • May require standing for extended period of time to perform work responsibilities with regular walking.
 
Salary $28.90 per hour
