Join the Education Foundation Board of Directors

The Education Foundation is seeking 2 active community members, who are passionate about education, to join our volunteer board of directors starting in August. Please email EdFoundation@cd-csd.org if you are interested. Or contact any current board member listed below.

Board Member Expectations are to:

Be Present
- Attend all 5 board meetings
- Attend the Annual Appreciation Reception
- Attend Photo Opportunities
- Respond to Communications in a timely manner (ex: Emails)

Be Vocal
- Share Feedback
- Express Opinions
- Challenge Each Other

Be a Promoter
- Know our Mission, Vision, and Values (Elevator Speech)
- Be comfortable talking about Endowments, Donating, and Partnerships
- Represent The Education Foundation in the Community
- Like, Comment, Share Ed Foundation Social Media posts

Be Active
- Raise a minimum of $250 through fundraisers and/or individual contributions
- Evaluate/Score Teacher Grant Applications
- Lead an activity/fundraiser/event
- Volunteer

One of the open board seats is for Board Secretary. The Board Secretary is on the Executive Committee with the Board President, Vice-President, and Treasurer. The Secretary will:
  • Create and Distribute Board Meeting Agendas
  • Document and Distribute Board Meeting Notes
  • Hold self and team accountable for updating Foundation documentation
  • Regularly check Post Office Box

With Student Intern Board Members Chloe Erskine and Hannah Moore.
