Scott Community College Foundation Hosts SCC BASH 2025 to Support Scholarships

The Scott Community College (SCC) Foundation invites the community to attend SCC BASH 2025 on Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Waterfront Convention Center, 2021 State St., Bettendorf. This annual fundraising event celebrates the power of education while raising vital support for student scholarships. In 2025 alone, thanks to community donors, the Foundation awarded more than $216,000 in scholarships to help local students pursue their goals.

This year’s BASH highlights the critical role of career and technical education in building the region’s workforce. Beginning at 5 p.m., guests can experience hands-on displays from programs including welding, manufacturing, auto technology, sonography, and more. These demonstrations showcase how Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) equips students with the skills needed for high-demand careers that strengthen the local economy.

The evening features a Mediterranean-inspired dinner prepared by EICC Culinary Arts students and faculty, alongside chefs from the Isle of Capri. In addition, welding students will sell handcrafted seasonal ornaments, with proceeds funding an emergency assistance program to help classmates purchase essential tools and supplies.

A live auction will cap the evening, with all proceeds supporting the SCC Foundation’s scholarship programs.

BASH is more than an evening out—it’s an investment in our students and their communities,” said Bradley Thiessen-Cooper,  Executive Assistant for Resource Development. “Every ticket, every bid, every gift helps open doors for students who are working hard to build their futures.”

Tickets and sponsorship information are available at eicc.edu/BASH. No tickets will be sold at the door.
