Job Description
The Camp Support Assistant helps bring our STEM, career exploration, fine arts, and theater camps to life by creating a fun, safe, and welcoming experience for students of all ages. This role supports instructors and staff, to keep daily activities running smoothly, and helps ensure every camper feels included and excited to learn. The ideal candidate is upbeat, flexible, and ready to jump in wherever needed to make each day of camp a success.
Summer camp support will be needed from - May 25th 2026 - July 31st 2026, Monday - Thursday
Required Qualifications
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with student information systems.
Good public relations skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
Available to work May 25th 2026 - July 31st 2026, Monday - Thursday
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with children is helpful but not required. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to complete training.Ability to stand, walk, and participate in active play.
Physical Demands
• This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.• This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Prolonged periods of standing or walking indoors and outdoors.
• If outdoors, weather may be rainy, hot, humid, etc.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with camper drop off and pick up supervision.
Assist with supervising children during daily activities, snack, and lunch time.Help enforce camp rules and ensure a safe, inclusive environment.Monitor campers for signs of distress, conflict, or safety concerns and report issues to the Camp Instructor or other supporting staff.
Assist with sign-in/sign-out procedures.Help maintain attendance records and distribute information to parents as directed.Foster a welcoming, friendly atmosphere where campers feel included.
Help keep camp areas clean and organized (tables, gym, playground, craft spaces).Assist with setting up and taking down daily equipment (sports gear, craft stations, learning centers).
Maintain positive, professional communication with staff, campers, and families.Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
